Prerequisites: Minimum age of 18, Rescue Diver (or equivalent) and 40 logged dives
PADI Divemaster is the first rung of the PADI professional ladder. Working closely with our instructor staff we will help you develop your dive skills and theory as well as introducing to many elements of the dive industry. Compared to the other courses that you would have completed, the relationship between the candidate and the instructors is very different. The instructors are there to mentor and assist as well as teach.
By the end of the course you will have professional level knowledge in dive theory, exemplary rescue skills and demonstration quality dive skills. You will become a role model for the divers around you, many of whom will seek your advice or help with problems. At Ocean Divers you will work with all of our instructors, gaining different ideas, techniques and skills from each of them, helping you to develop your own personal style. You will also work with our customers, gaining yet more valuable experience.

What you learn?
During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems while also helping others to improve their diving skills. You put this knowledge into action through a structured internship or series of practical training exercises.
After becoming certified as a PADI Divemaster you will be authorized to:
- Supervise both training and non-training related activities by planning, organising and directing dives
- Assist a PADI Instructor during the training sessions for any PADI diver course
- Conduct the PADI Scuba Review program with certified divers
